The Baptist Cathedral of Europe

As a non-denominational choir, as indeed is the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) a non-denominational Christian organisation, we aim to take part in services relevant to the denomination of the church, cathedral or abbey we're visiting, but on this occasion although it's a Baptist Church we have been asked specifically to sing Choral Evensong, so that's what we're doing, and the music list is:
As I mentioned in a previous post, Thomas Coats Memorial was built by the prominent local Coats family who were major benefactors in Paisley, and it's unofficially referred to as the Baptist Cathedral of Europe.  It's a fine building, with a wonderful organ, and a great acoustic, so to sum up the service:

Big Victorian Church + Big Victorian Music = Fun for all the family!
